Welcome to The Omega Laboratory (OmegaLab) homepage at Old Dominion University, an all purpose quantitative methodology lab.

The main purpose of the lab is to develop, explore, and apply general quantitative methodology in the sciences. The adaptability of quantitative methodology allows lab members to operate on the intersection of many fields – psychology, psychometrics, sociology, education, program evaluation, medicine, and many others. This is reflected in the diverse applied projects, interests, and specialization of lab members, which make for a unique and vibrant environment for conducting research.

​The lab houses powerful workstations for high powered computing. Installed on the computing environment is a full range of statistical software for conducting simple statistical analyses to estimating more advanced statistical models.

OmegaLab works on a variety of quantitative and/or applied research projects. We value integrity, commitment, and out-of-the-box thinking. Undergraduate

Seeking motivated students to work in a variety of capacities. Examples of some of the activities students do are data entry, transcribing, creating online surveys, literature searches, assist with statistical analysis, etc.. Students are formally trained in all of these activities. Some funding is available for undergraduate students.
